Rail Nine Records is an independent record label providing production, marketing and management services for select artists.

Rail Nine Records was started in 2006 by Walt and Will, two brothers who share a passion for music and a desire to see music regain its relevance in a market dominated by corporate pocketbooks. Combining Walt’s knowledge of the music industry with Will’s business savvy, we feel we can succeed at producing great music and methodically growing Rail Nine Records.

Our approach is simple – we are redefining what it means for a band to be successful by gradually developing our artists and related business simultaneously. Instead of throwing money around in an effort to push manufactured ‘artists’ through mass media distribution channels, we focus on genuinely multi-faceted artists who make music for its own sake and targeted distribution to connect our artists with music lovers. Focusing on substance allows us to grow at our own pace and our artists to retain control of their musical vision throughout the development process.
